Praise for J.L.Campbell’s work.

J L Campbell presents an interesting story, set near Jamaica on the fictitious Island of Xantrope, which is described beautifully and vividly. The story is paced well, and the plot is strong. This author's debut novel will lure you into mystery, romance, kidnapping, suspense and murder, which is just the tip of the iceberg. CONTRABAND is an exciting and interesting read.

The characters in Dissolution are perfectly drawn, and you just want to reach in and give so many of them a hug and just tell them "You'll get through it." The emotional roller coaster lasts all the way to the end, and I'm thankful to have found out about this book!

I find myself at very odd times thinking about the characters in those stories and wondering what was going on in the author's mind when she wrote that. How do you explain how you enjoyed a book so emotionally dark and disturbing. Don't get me wrong, it is not heavy or violent in anyway but the stories did affect me emotionally and have definitely had a lasting impact on my mind.

…I commend J.L for her uncanny ability of capturing life around her in such wonderful detail that in transposing it to " paper" she has you feeling as though it is you experiencing what the characters are going through.

There is so much about J.L's Jamaica that resonates with me because the social issues facing Jamaica are very similar to if not the same as those facing my own South Africa…The social consciousness i find finely threaded through most of what I've read from her books I think really sets her apart. Her books not  only entertaining but also have a certain relevance that goes beyond the entertainment. Hardware is no different.

I whipped through these highly readable stories with a vengeance - just like the main characters! These tales, by author J. L. Campbell, each feature protagonists who are keen to right a wrong. From the exotic setting to the unique cadence of the dialogue, you can't help but be transported to another place. Each one packs a punch! Definitely worth a read.
